Scam movers

$2000.00 for a 2 mile move that was supposed to include unpacking and installing the beds and furniture. The 2 clowns needed help unloading after showing up hours late and spent half the time smoking cigarettes....total scam artists from Russia.

Warning!! Beware, do Not Use!!

BEWARE!! Read the entire review. DO NOT use this company. I have serious doubts about the good reviews that are listed because other places have nothing but terrible reviews about them.
Here’s my experience. Starting off, they showed up over an hour late. That should’ve been my warning sign but it was Sunday so I figured they were just moving slow. I was told over the phone when setting up the move, that there would be “additional items” that I could purchase such as plastic wrap, mattress bags, etc to protect my stuff. When the movers got there, they also gave me a form that had these, and several other, options of items to pick. I pick that I wanted to have 2 plastic mattress bags to protect my and my daughters mattress from getting dirty or damaged, at a cost of $20 each. I also asked about plastic wrap for my bedroom suite which was a very heavy and expensive set. The mover said no problem and went about his business.
As they were moving things out, I noticed that nothing was getting wrapped and the mattress were not in the bags and I asked. The mover then told me that they didn’t have any plastic wrap for the furniture. I asked about the mattress bags and he said he did not have those either but he was just going to lay a blanket on the floor of the truck to keep it from getting dirty. Never mind the fact that he WAS NOT going to tell me they didn’t have them and go head and charge me the amount for them anyway.
One of the movers kept constantly just standing around, checking his phone while his foreman was in the back of the truck. I later found out he was brand new. This guy also kept asking me what I was going to do with various items that they were moving, ie a PlayStation, a TV…he wanted me to give them to him. This same guy also asked me for food when we got to my house later.
After we got to the house that I was moving to and they opened the back of the truck I notice my stuff is all over the place like they had not strapped or tied it down at all. Needless to say, EVERY SINGLE PIECE of my furniture now has damage on it. I get when you move, there’s always going to be a few nicks and bumps, but there is some MAJOR damage to my stuff. I am not exaggerating at all when I say every single piece.
I told them I was not going to pay for the move until I talked to a supervisor. They called their boss who DID NOT want to talk to me at all. He told me “you have to pay and then file a claim Monday”. Their boss, not knowing that his guy had him on speaker, told his foreman to call the police if I didn’t pay. I should’ve not paid and let them take that action. For those of you out there that don’t know, don’t let some scumbag threaten you with this. The police WILL NOT get involved in a situation like this. I laughed at the guy and told his guys to go ahead and call them. They did not. To top it off, every time I would walk away, they were hitting on my 23 old daughter. Yeah, very professional. Not to mention it took them 6.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment where most of the boxes had already been moved!!
I did receive a call the next day from the guy that I had set this up with apologizing for the damage. He told me they were fully insured and to send my pics to an email and they would forward to their insurance company. There were over 40 different pics of damage to my furniture that were sent in. Now it has been over a week and not a single peep from them and no one answers their customer service line. I am now pursing this in small claims court.
Just a warning and if I can help anyone else not go through this, then that’s a plus for me.

Great service.

They showed up early to do a 2 bedroom move from 3rd floor to a new building with an elevator. 1 item was damaged but I was paid within 3 weeks. If not for that I'd give 5 stars. Thanks to Igor and Ivan for the excellent service. They really are 2 bears!!

Stay away. Literally the worst moving experience.

- The truck arrived 2h30 late with a false excuse

- The manager Michael answered my first call to apologize for being late then made up an excuse saying the truck had an issue with a tire and told me he was sending another team from Aventura.

- The truck driver locked the truck on arrival, leaving keys inside. another 15 min waste.

- The movers came with me for estimate but I had to tell them to take carts with them in order not to waste more time coming back down empty hands.

- The truck driver made me sign a contract adding fuel and driving time fees that were not supposed to be there ("no hidden fees, my friend"). I refused to sign and been asked to call their manager. This one no longer answered my calls. Time was running and I only could book our building elevator until 4 pm so decided to sign.

- We were 3 people helping out a couple of movers to bring down all the bulk stuff to the truck and in our own personal cars (SUV) so as to save time and make it in time.

- All our stuff was well prepared (50 boxes), furniture disassembled, nothing valuable (no packing or protection necessary), and we closed the truck's door at 2:14 pm (I still had to warn them about some furniture not attached properly inside..). As I walk to my car to lead the way, They tell me they had to stop at gas station on the way (seriously??). So I decided to go and wait for them at my new home (15 min away). Only 45 min they showed up, no explanation, no apologies.

- The truck driver asked me to pay full amount before they unload the truck. "new policy" they said. Again, I refused. He said, "call my manager". As he never answers anymore, I told them to have him call me. Which he did.

On the phone, I told Michael, "so you finally return my call..". In an angry voice he replied and shouted "No, I am calling you. You were bitching all day to have it done before 4 pm for your fu**ing elevator, and we made it in time! Now, pay your fu**ing bill!" Yes, indeed, all done before 4 pm, thanks to our own helpers. And if they weren't 2h30 late, it could be 1 pm at that time.

- As the manager hung up the phone without listening to me (he was talking over me), I was afraid the truck leaves with all my stuff so I called the police (local residence patrol).

In the meantime, being stuck with time, decided once again to pay, based on their estimate of unloading time.

After I signed, the truck driver (who was a very nice person, always calm and repeating it is not his company, he's just a mover), told me everything I needed to know:

> The team in charge of my moving were originally the team of Aventura since the beginning. There was no other team ever involved. They were late because of their previous client.

> Manager never answers the phone so the client has no other choice than paying (in 99% of the time).

> The contract I signed is perfectly illegal and I should never sign such a contract.

The movers unloaded the truck in 2h30 (longer than they estimated, I paid the extra time as tips to them (a little more, $50 each) and I highly recommended them to change company.

Note:

- Joe was a nice person doing my quote. Although never sent me the contract beforehand.

- Michael is the horrible horrible nasty manager.

My advice:

Stay away. Let this company die with no more customers and hopefully, those movers will be employed somewhere else.

The WORST Company!! SCAMMERS.

The worst company! be careful with them. I got a website for this company, I always spoke to a man named Carlos who kindly gave me my budget and coordinated the move at $ 75 an hour with no additional fees (according to him) on the day of the move, 2 people who spoke little English, and no Spanish. Very rude, they started to put things on the truck, they cover 2 TVs and 3 mattresses, they never told us that this had an additional charge. We went to the new house (10 minutes away) and upon arrival shows us the contract that I had already signed for $ 75 with additional information that the agreement on my signature that I did not authorize or was unaware, the amount rose from $ 225 to $ 1150 ( 475$ in package fee??) and they told us that if we didn't pay they wouldn't give us things. We tried to call the person who I hired and he blocked my phone, there was no way to communicate until I decided to call him from another phone and there he magically appeared and pick up the phone, he said he was going to try to solve and obviously that did not happen. We spoke with the supposed owner of the company who said "kindly" would give us a discount of $ 1,150 to $ 1,000 but that he would leave things at the entrance of the house. we had to pay because they had all our things, we pay until 3.45 pm and 3.10 pm they decided to leave. The police came but they couldn't do much and they shamelessly act as if nothing happened. These people cannot continue to scam customers, we must unite to go to the court!

Total Disappointment.

Believe all “1 star” reviews.

This so called mover deserves “zero” stars

Absolutely disgraceful how this company can exist.

Unprofessional

Dishonest

DO NOT consider them under any circumstances.

Their price is extremely misleading.

Customer service is non- existence.

Owner Mike places all blame on his drivers and neglects to settle issues.

Bait-and-switch Fraudulent Company - Ovoid like the Plague.

This business is a complete sham, uses a bait and switch tactic promising a low $75 flat rate, and then charges four times for as much. I received a quote to move a studio apartment from Parkland to Coral Springs (4 miles) for $225.00 (3 hours at $75.00 per hour) flat rate all inclusive. The apartment was already packed up and it took them only 3.5 hours to get everything to my house. Upon arrival I was presented with an invoice for $1,133.50 which did include the original estimate of 3.5 hours + another fee for 3.0 hours as apparently these 2 guys drove a huge moving truck all the way from Homestead FL for a 3 hour moving job. There was $479 in packing supplies and then some charges for actual packing and unpacking. On top of all these insane additional fees they want 10% credit card fees. That is extortion.

EXTORTION!!!!!! Beware !!!

Mover Holding Entire Home for Ransom

Two Man Movers LLC Extorting Customers By Holding Belongings For Ransom. Consumers Beware! Protect Yourself!

This company contacted me by getting my info from the Movers.com website. They called me 13 times until I answered. I should have known right there and then. They Loaded my entire 2 bedroom apartment onto their truck. They then pretended that their truck broke down and kept my items overnight. The next day they bring the truck to my storage facility and present me with a bill that is 3 times the amount agreed to. They then called the police as if I wouldn’t pay them and to cover their backs. What they didn’t realize is that the I knew the officers on scene and their Police chief as well. The Police would not accept their report but could not force them to off load because its a civil matter in Broward county. Police are powerless to force an unload. So in desperation the drivers left with all of my belongings. The owner of the company called me to tell me that he will not release my items until I paid up the extorted amount.

He also threatened to charge me $150 per day as he sits on it. These people are an unsavory group of criminals. They are extremely skilled at what they do. I will be exhausting my options as course of action including the state Attorrney, FDOT, and other agencies. If you encounter these people, RUN! Don’t wind up in my shoes. Covid has caused irreparable harm to me.This company is praying upon people at their most vulnerable time. This is the nail in my coffin.

LITERAL SCAM

I recently had my gallbladder out and would not be able to carry things for our move. After doing a price comparison of moving companies we decided to go with Two Men and a Truck (or what we thought was two men and a truck) as they are a reputable company and they originally quoted us at $75 an hour. In the original consult they said that we would ONLY be charged the $75 an hour for them to move our things and the time would not start until they arrived at the site, not from when they leave the truckyard. They estimated that based on the amount of stuff we told them that we had it should take about 3-4 hours total and that it would be $225-300. All of our stuff was packed in boxes and neatly placed in the leaving room for them to easily move. Upon arrival we noticed that the name on the truck was not the same as the company and when asking a mover about this they said that they have multiple trucks that do not have the name on it and they just get sent out with what is available. I was given a contract and asked to sign it after verifying the addresses were correct. Once we had everything packed and arrived at the new place we were presented with a bill of $2189 that needed to be payed before they continued. When explaining that we could not pay that much as none of us had that amount of money, as well as that was not what we were told the man told us that we would not be able to have our stuff back until we made that payment. He gave me the number of his manager to discuss the issues with. It should be noted that $1170 of this bill was for supplies that they use to UNECESSARILY wrap our furniture which we did not ask them to, nor did they ask us if we wanted them to. When speaking to the manager about this she said that I was wrong and that it is not their job to ask us if we want our things wrapped but it is our job to ask them not to. Luckily a family member was able to loan us the money so we could pay them and get our things back, to which they sat in the driveway for an hour during this process. My mother called the number of the manager to speak to her about the fact that A) We never consented to them wrapping our furniture and B) The company that was there was not the company that we hired. The lady then told my mom she was a psychopath and hung up. During the payment process the man demanded that he needed a picture of the credit card for "Verification" purposes. When saying we were uncomfortable with this he said that if we did not comply we could not have our things. During the unloading process the same man was on his phone the entire time, and after they left we found our coffee table hidden in the garage and broken. It should be noted that they are using a logo that looks almost the same as Two Men and a Truck so it is VERY misleading.

Way too much in Hidden fee’s

We found them on Movers.com, and they called us. They qouted us $99 per hour for three men. But what they don’t tell you (neither the guys doing the move and the sales person on the phone) that they charge you for any extra work and materials used. So a $600 quoted move, turned into a $1927. They also ask you to sign a blank paper before they start the moving process, that blank paper is where they write whatever they feel like to turn your quote into three times more than expected.

They’re not even in google maps, and that’s why they keep getting business. Because no one can rate them.

The truck was really old. Glad I only moved 5 streets down the block. Overall. The hidden fees they don’t tell you about is what made me write this. Do not use them , if you have the money , use a professional company company that is in google and can get reviews. Safe your self the headache and money.
